Lady Kestrel - 01 May 2019 10:10 PMIs it Backpacker: The Lost Florence Gold Mine?
No. Not that one.
I think it’s time for a big hint.
The dead guy in the first screenshot is a pixelized rendition of actor Kevin Bacon.

I didn’t know there was a Friday the 13th game…

Maybe this time I can be strong, but since I know who I am, I’m probably wrong. Maybe this time I can go far, but thinking about where I’ve been ain’t helping me start. - Michael Kiwanuka

Correct! Your turn.

Released in 2006?
Jesus. Someone must’ve kept that game in a drawer for 20 or 25 years.

You don’t play J2ME games?!?

Whoever wrote that description on Mobygames obviously didn’t play the game or watch the movie.
Drew Barrymore’s character was killed in the opening of the movie Scream for making the exact same mistake…

Interesting… is this still available and if so how does one go about getting it and playing it?

I have to admit, I have *never* heard of that J2ME version of Friday the 13th. Very weird. Anybody play it before?

Only D, obviously.

I don’t think J2ME games are for sale anymore. It’s a dead platform that’s been completely replaced by Android/iPhone. They can be played on a Windows PC in emulators like FreeJ2ME, Kemulator, MicroEmulator and others though, which is much better than playing them on the tiny screen of an old cellphone IMO.

Of course. I only post screenshots of games I’ve actually played. As expected by such a limited device, the game is short and rather simplistic. But how can one pass up playing an adventure game of one of the most iconic horror movie franchises in history?

Nice! Thanks for the tip D. I’ll look into it.
As for the screenshot… it kind of reminds me of Hotel Dusk: Room 215.

It’s not Hotel Dusk.
