Anyone playing The Secret World beta weekends?

I’m in the beta but I don’t really have time to play on weekends so I’ll probably only dig deep into it when it’s released

I pre-ordered the game because it’s Funcom and Ragnar Tornquist… From the little I’ve played it’s looking like a very interesting setup for the world with lots of lore to explore. I came across some easy puzzles in a couple of quests but I don’t know if they will be frequent the long term.

The combat seems like typical MMO but I’ve only played casual Wow in the MMO genre so I’m far from being an expert…

This is out finally.

I’ve put some hours into it, The skill system wheel and the crafting system is terribly confusing to me, I’m going to have to read some guides…

The story, characters, voice acting and investigation mission are great (some really really hard puzzles!!)

It does look kinda cool and I’ve heard some good things about it but I’ll be going with Guild Wars 2.

Just out of curiosity, does it have a monthly fee?

Yes, it has monthly fee of 15$.

Puzzles are really hard in some quests, it has an in-game browser and some answers can be found digging through the fake sites they created. Sometimes fake clues are involved… and lots of computer passwords to decipher.
Don’t know if this type of stuff is common in MMOs, I’ve only played Wow and most quests are straightforward.

Not really into MMo’s, but I,ve been hearing some decent things about this game.

An adventure game is nothing more than a good story set with engaging puzzles that fit seamlessly in with the story and the characters, and looks and sounds beautiful.

I really want this game. MMO? Who cares, the premise, the atmosphere, the environments are just so intriguing.

I’ve been playing this since launch and I’m really enjoying it so far. The surroundings looks and feels amazing.. and sometimes a bit scary. Some of the investigation missions are quite challenging. If you don’t mind the risk of running into zombies while looking for the next clue, I would recommend that you give this “MMO adventure” a try.

Oh, and did you see the launch trailer?

I’m a big Ragnar fan, and had my eye on this for a while, but my excitement has been slowly fading ever since I finished Dreamfall. Each news update just seemed less and less interesting to me. I’m not sure what it is, exactly, but the game just doesn’t hold the same intrigue that got me into TLJ. Maybe I’ll give it a try after I’m done with Guild Wars 2.

I really don’t see why you are comparing TSW to TLJ. Thats like comparing Anarchy Online to TLJ.

Sadly, I find this game much more interesting and entertaining than GW2.

My wife and I tried this game out during beta. My wife had trouble running it, but I enjoyed it well enough. I’d go back if I could afford it right now (which I can’t). I’m hoping to rejoin before Christmas.

Cool. I just got mine last saturday. This game is pretty awesome. Everything about it is a breath of fresh air. Too bad the game isn’t doing so well.

Add me on the game if anyone else is playing. Character is MonolithVoid

Ended up not buying the subscription after the first month. I was liking it but I just don’t have the time to play it properly…
I hope the game does well (it doesn’t look like it), it was a fun ride while it lasted.
Maybe someday I’ll get back to it.
