2020 Aggie Awards – Readers’ Choice poll
If you’re anything like us, you’re probably sick of voting or even hearing about voting any time soon, but there remains one ballot of the utmost importance to cast: your nominations for this year’s Aggie Awards!
Okay, maybe “important” is a stretch in the grand scheme of things, but in the world of adventure games, the fates of 196 games depends on it! That’s right – not a typo – 196 new adventure game releases in 2020 alone. That means you’ve got a whooooole lot to choose from, and only a week to do it.
You’ve seen our nominee finalists, but you aren’t limited by our top ten selections, oh no. You can vote for any game you choose, but only one per award.
As ever, the poll operates largely on the honour system. We will keep an eye out for suspicious activity, but rarely do we encounter such problems. Which is good, because the only way this thing works is fairly: one vote per person, no ballot stuffing.
Most categories have a drop-down menu of games to choose from. You are NOT required to vote in every category if you don’t feel you’ve played anything worthy of being the winner. Anywhere you wish to abstain, simply leave the list set to its no answer default. There are two write-in categories, and for these we require both the game title and the character or concept you’re nominating for their respective rewards.
No doubt there will be objections to which games made the “traditional” and “non-traditional” categories, but it’s not worth getting agitated over a celebration of games. Just sit back and enjoy the ride! The distinction is subjective and every game makes ONE of the lists, so nothing is overlooked.
But enough with the preamble: let the voting commence!
The poll will be open for one week, ending Sunday, February 14th. Winners will be unveiled in our grand Aggie Awards presentation on Friday, February 19th. So mark your calendars, and we’ll see you there!
