I only played Uncharted 2 but I think this is a game that you need to play with the right expectations. If you go in looking for intricate puzzles and free exploration you will be disappointed....

I think there's nothing wrong with Myst per se, but as a sub-genre it's not to everyone's taste. Personally I can't see it influencing the game in a way that I would consider negative.
