The future of adventure games

Just out of curiosity, I was wondering where you see the adventure genre going over the next few years. Do you think that genre-blending is important, for instance, or do you feel that adventures stand on their own as an independent, 'classic' kind of game? What kind of adventure games can you see HoT developing in the future?

Well, generally I think, the time for story-driven games has only just begun.

I believe that in ten years most game will be more or less story-driven.
People get presented with wonderful graphics showing what they're shooting at today. It won't be long until they will want to know why they're shooting, and the answer to that will have to be a little more complex than "because they're evil".

Adventure games (I mean the "pure", "classic") form, will be have their fair market share as a non-violent (or not mainly violent) gaming genre. Just like there's other movies than Terminator. :)
