1.3 Ghz Intel Pent

Not sure on my CD Rom speed, but its a fairly recent DVD player that I installed, so I don't think that's the problem.

Anyway, as far as I can tell I meet all system requirements. I also tried End Tasking everthing aside from Systray & Explorer, as the website suggested.

My problem? I try to load, I get a picture of Sherlock displayed, the disk spins... A lot. Then I get a message saying that there's a problem with ~DF3948.TMP.

Another odd thing about this CD, is it won't let me run the installation of DirectX from the CD & it always crashes.

And while I did get it to run once, I haven't been able to do so again. Anyway, I suspect I might just have a bum CD. Then again, I could have some sort of other problems, I suppose.

Any hints/suggestions?
