I'm playing Syberia and have run into what I can only think is a game-stopper.

I activated the music box in the factory office and got the voice Valadilene voice cylinder. However, I didn't realize you had to insert it into the music box to trigger a sequence that (according to a walkthrough) releases the jammed figures on top of it.

I've since placed the Valadilene voice cylinder on the train as one of the important objects but the two figures are needed and the game won't let me pick the voice cylinder back up.

I have no save games before this point and have done everything else needed to get the train running besides placing the two figures.

Does anyone have a save game or a solution? I'd hate to have to start this beautiful game all over again because of a bug.
