Beyond Good and Evil..can you turn OFF the GUI?

I am starting to enjoy Beyond Good and Evil but ..i want to try to turn OFF the annoying GUI stuff on the main screen, it really ruins the view..and once you know the controls you dont need it..is it possible or is there a mod that does that? Anyone know?

I will reply because no one else has>.....

you dont have to turn it off, once you have an interaction with one of the talking characters or do an action, the GUI items will fade out on their own until you try to do or speak anything again.

so that is the answer

enjoy the game it is quite fun.
