I have a problem when I launch Alter Ego by Viva Media. I double-click on the icon and reach the screen that says start new game. When I click on it nothing happens and the screen stays black. I have Windows Vista [service pack 2] on a HP Pavillion, Pentium Dual CPU 2 Ghz with 3MB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 9500GT, CD-DVD ROM, 256 MB Video Memory.

try disabling 'visual themes' in the properties of the alter ego.exe.

I had the same problem as you laguna68 and the solution in that thread fixed it for me. Hope it does it for you too
