Default Gabriel Knight SotF (Day 6) - Police Station.

The time window in which I have to enter Mosely's office is too short, I always get caught halfway. How am I supposed to go inside?

What you could do is turn Gabe's walking speed completely up, or, as it is (if I remember that correctly) a speed-related problem, with your computeer being too fast, you may want to try to play that bit in DosBox.

Thank you, Luna. I should have said earlier but i was already running GK in DosBox (the GOG version). I turned Gabriel speed up to 11 like you said and used cpukiller to slowdown the system and it worked. Oddly enough, the officer dozed off and woke up several times in the period it took me to open two doors.

I have a patch for the speed bugs in GK1. Also, NEVER use a slow down utility with DOSBox. To lower speed in DOSBox, just lower the cycles. GOG tends to use automatic core and auto cycles for their DOS games. Speed bugs are common in the later Sierra SCI games. A good starting point for the SCI games is normal core and 10000 cycles. Anything above this will trigger the timer bugs.

I think GOG downloads and installs dosbox to play GK.So you can reduce cpu cycles and there you have it!!
