Good to see you got WW! Where abouts did you get it from? I know at least one online shop was selling copies that noone could get to work.

Heh, I think he meant No one.
Considering your problem with a couple games, your Intel graphics card ain't doing you much favors I imagine. I had a PC recently with one and it wouldn't run anything. Bought an Nvidia video card and runs much better. Do a lot of games work fine for you? If so then maybe it's something else.

Yes, getting an NVidia card would be an excellent investment if you want to play any games.
However, before you do that, it's worth trying to update your graphics card drivers. Sometimes that works. |

Give the newer ones a try:
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...eng&iid=dc_rss It's not necessarily a graphics card problem anyway, since you mentioned some audio issues too. I'd update the audio drivers as well, just in case. If that doesn't work, you could try running the game in windowed mode. And if that also fails, then it's really time for an NVidia card |

What games have you gotten to run fine on your machine?
I bought a PC with the Intel card and it wouldn't run much.

The games I've had problems with so far are as follows --->
1. The Black Mirror 1 - Desktop Icon Sngm2578.dll (Trojan Horse) with Norton Antivirus. It won't work with any compatibility settings at all. 2. Secret Files Tunguska - Click icon splash starts when I click on play drive makes a noise but nothing happens & no compatibility settings work. 3. Fable (1996) - Installs but Play button is still not highlighted. 4. Nocturne - Installs under recommended settings, compatibility a no go again. I don't think compatibilty is even working because I've tried every setting on every game that I've had problems with and NOTHING works!!!! 5. Spore (ok, not an AG I know but I payed a lot for this game and it would be a pain in the A if I never got to play it lol) - Won't run at all not even with the latest patch. 6. Technomage - Error halfway through install just freezes. I have a lot of adventure games (Ok I'll come clean I've got every single AG ever made I'm just a little bit obsessed ok lmao) So it's gonna take me a long time to test out the rest lol but any insight would be much appreciated thanks.

xiao and carlotta and whoever else has the same problem: you can skip right to the game menu by pressing escape during the daedalic entertainment logo animation and pressing escape during the next animation afterwards and it wont go back to windows(it should work)
i also suggest pressing escape through the intro of the game if it u notice any severe graphics/audio problems there. Last edited by gabe911; 04-15-2011 at 04:51 PM. |

as far as audio problems are concerned you have to download the latest audio drivers for your soundcard. I had problems with video stuttering while starting the game and during cutscenes.
