Toonstruck - Sound issues

Hey guys. I am running Toonstruck though Virtual PC on a Win 98 install. Whenever I play the game it runs perefectly in every way, however after about 2 minutes the sound stuffs up and starts making a loud continuous scratching sound that wont go away unless I exit and restart the game. This is probably my computer being a computer, but just checking to see if anyone has any ideas on a fix or work around. Thanks

I believe that Toonstruck is a DOS only game. Try DOSBox.
