Escape from Monkey Island installer
I wanted to install Escape from Monkey Island on a system with Windows 7, but the included installer does not work on 64 bit systems. I checked around on the web and several sites recommended an installer called EMISetup1.0.exe from Quick and Easy Software. They all said that once you installed it using this freeware installer, it would run fine. I downloaded the file and tried to run it, but my Norton Internet Security immediately quarantined it, labeling it a high security risk. I could find no information about why it was a supposed security risk. The Norton website does not have a report on the file.
Does anyone know about this? Is my security software over-reacting? If not, I assume any software from Quick and Easy is suspect. Does anyone know a legitimate way to install Monkey 4 on a 64-bit system? |

To make sure that you have an unaltered copy, get it from this page:
http://quick.mixnmojo.com/software If Norton still tags it as malware it is a false positive. |

Thanks, Collector. It happens that that is where I got it. I guess Norton is just being over enthusiastic.
