Safecracker 2006 Tech Problem - Screen Flicker

Working through the backlog, installed Safecracker (2006 version). I've never had a tech problem with any game and I've played a ton. My video card is a GeForce 9800 GT, updated drivers. 2.2 Core Duo PC, 2 gigs ram. Should be plenty.

But when I run safecracker, it loads up fine but there's some terrible screen flicker. To point where it's unplayable. As I scan around the room, the screen flickers constantly. If I leave the mouse alone, it's fine.

I tried to adjust some items in the config.ini file but nothing seemed to have any effect on anything really.

bUseHardware=1
bUse32BitsSprites=1
bUse32BitsScreen=1
bFullScreen=1
bScreenResolution=2
dataset=2
nProfiles=0
nVolume=100
bSoftBilinear=0
bCenterMouse = 1

those are the defaults.

Anyone else have this problem? Searched around and saw someone mention it on Big Fish but other than that, can't see anything anywhere.

Thanks for any help.

Okay never mind, I got it to work, in windowed mode. I toggled to run the program as administrator, because I ddidn't think it was using the config file at all. Then it finally ran in windowed mode when I selected fullscreen=0

And in windowed mode, there's no flicker.

Sorry for the trouble, but at least it's here in case someone else has a problem :)

If I figure out how to run it full screen with no flicker, I'll post an amendment.
