Nikopol chapter 5 help

Hi, i am currently stuck in Nikopol, chapter 5.

The issue is with changing the security card to lvl8 to get into the armory. i have used and looked at 2 walkthroughs, but the answer they give doesnt work. for eg. game boomers walkthrough say the solution is....D 7 3 C 7 C D B 2 8 B A.

Am i missing something ?

I worked it out, i was selecting all the 4 hex's before i inputed the solution
