Broken Sword 4 Video Problems
I recently picked up Broken Sword: The Angel of Death for PC, but the cutscenes are very choppy and utterly unwatchable. I'm running Vista now and a pretty fast computer, but I'm sure I played the demo ages ago on my old XP computer and had the same problem - which I think is why I never bought the game when it first came out.
Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

No... do you think that might work? It should really work fine, as it's such a modern game. I'll give it a try.

Well, it worked with the video amazingly - but now all the characters are permanently in shadow!

I don't use Vista but did you try to run the shortcut for the game with run as administrater. If that dosen;t work instead of installing the game to programs install it in the user documents. It also sounds like you might have to update your video drivers.

I've got the same problem - pretty sure I read somewhere ages ago that the game doesn't like multi-core processors. Have you got a dual core or quad core CPU?

Here's a link to tell you how to disable dual core processors/hyperthreading. Scroll down and read what it says. Hope it helps.

Broken Sword 4 doesn't seem to work properly with multi-core processors. Sorry dude, but the only work around I found works in XP, by creating a new partition with an 'adjusted' version of XP that has mulit-core support disabled. I'm not sure the same thing can be done with Vista.
It's a big problem and shame on THQ for ignoring the issue. |

I'm sure you can translate that four-letter word.
