Overclocked Adware? Porn? Help?
Please assist the tech-challenged. My computer tells me that Adware Porn King (which sounds rather alarming) is attempting to install on my system via my newly-purchased-can't-wait-to-play-it game, Overclocked. Further, my computer warns that it is a high-risk type of adware, which makes my husband all frowny and uncooperative. What's a poor tech-dolt to do but throw the dilemma out into the sea of tech-savvy gamers and hope for mercy and a lifesaver?
Any takers? |
I think I saw a thread over at Gameboomers about the same.
Turned out to be a false positive - meaning it's harmless :) |
Thanks, Misslilo--I'm a bit overclocked myself, so I panicked. :) Good of you to help me out--

I'm glad all is well. :) |
A little porn might have made Overclocked more exciting

Just started playing this today and got the same adware warning on mcafee while installing, thanks to this forum I didn't panic cos I read about it yesterday!
Have only played for an hour so far and I quite like it. BUT there is no bathroom in the hotel room and no dining room or bar in the hotel.....so I am annoyed just a bit :) |
