Default Help with Anachronox

I have a big problem with Anachronox. It seems to be a nasty bug. I am at the white caves but every time a snow sucker attacks me my red circle disappears and I can´t fight back. It is very annoying because I can´t get past them. The game has been working with no problems untill that point. Did anyone else encounter this problem? And if so how did you get past it? Do I need to change the settings?

Thanks in advance.

There are some unofficial patches for this game. I installed them when I played it (a good while ago now) and they seemed to fix a few problems I was having.

Unfortunately the link I had for them no longer works. I'm not sure where you can find them now I'm afraid. If you have no luck finding them (anyone else know a current link?) then I might be able to find my copy at home.

Thank you Stepurhan for your help. I would install a patch but I am playing the game on an oldish computer (since it doesn´t work on my new computer or laptop) which doesn´t have internet. The odd thing is that I have not encountered any problems at all playing the game untill now and I´m nearly at the end.

I´m thinking that my only option will be to use the cheat which allows you to skip battles unless someone has any other ideas.

Can't you just use another computer to download to a floppy or CD?

If so then you can find the patches here.
Both official and unofficial

I could try it but it doesn´t work on XP. Thanks for the links though. I´ll definetly try the patches if I get the chance.

I think misslilo means downloading the patches, burning them to a CD and transferring them to the computer that the game is on.

Whoops my mistake. I´ll try the cheat menu first and if that doesn´t work then I´ll the download the patches.

Thanks for the clarifying.
