Any hint on how to put out the fire?

Spoiler:
What does that THREE times as much mean? Is there a item that can contain water other than glass?

Well, I'm still baffled about the password I know it's something that has been mentioned in one of the earlier quests, but I simply can't find it or remember it. Grrr

Have you tried asking the dork for hints to that question, misslilo? (BTW, I removed the spoiler tags from your post, as you weren't really spoiling anything.)

Spoiler:
"Use" the seven torn notes from inventory on him and see what he has to say.

If that isn't enough, there's something in the:

Spoiler:
virus hole

that should give you a further nudge in the right direction.

Great! Glad you got it.

I'll probably make that answer a bit more obvious in the final FINAL version. You're right that it's probably a little too obscure still for non-(first language) English speakers and/or people who didn't play the other games (though there's no excuse for the latter. )

That's all nice and well, except that
Spoiler:
I've already taped up the damn thing

Lucky for me I still had CQ2 lying around. I'd already guessed the last part but the first seems almost impossible.

Well, it's a four-letter anagram if you know the last part. Not sure I'd call that almost impossible. Still, I'll make it a bit more obvious.

That action scene is absolutely ridiculous!
Spoiler:
We tried many times but we can't defeat the virus by hitting it with the pan.
Is there another way or a trick we can use?

You mean the first time you try? You can't beat it the first time you try if you haven't done something else first (which at that stage, you shouldn't know you need to do.)

At some point, you need to weaken the virus to beat it (there's clues about how to do that.) Only after that is the game winnable.

If you did that and you still can't win, I'm guessing it's because you're trying to hit its head before he comes completely out of the hole. You're penalized for hitting him when he's only peeking out.

It actually says that in the instructions when you first go in. I know no one reads those, but you can't say we didn't warn you!

Eventually we beat the virus bit it took us about 15 tries. We hate action scenes in adventure games!

Cathy maybe you did what I did?

Spoiler:
I tried "UTILPAN" so many times thinking it was a shortname for "utility pan" until I went back to CQ2 and saw it was "ULTIPAN". Heh!

Damn pan!
