I just reinstalled Psychonauts on my computer (and patched it), and it keeps crashing after several minutes. It'll happen while playing the game or just viewing the start screen. I've tried disabling all graphics and sound features, changed the resolution from widescreen to 4:3, and it still happens.

I'm running it with Windows XP, Athlon XP 2600+, 1 GB RAM, GeForce 6600 GT, and SBLive Value. I'm pretty sure I've played it with this current setup in the past and had no problems. Since I last played, I've updated the video card drivers and switched to a widescreen monitor.

The game will lock the whole computer up, and I need to press the reset button.

This will be a feeble answer, but it might be your video card drivers. Have you checked if there is a newer version available? If not, try downgrading. Otherwise, I have no clue.
