Hey people. Does anyone have a savegame in Alfonso's hotel? I went into anna maria's room and tried to use the string on the fan before turning it off, and later when i turned it off the string wasn't in my inventory any longer (probably a bug, i guess). anyway, i'm stuck and i don't feel like playing it from the start again. so please help me here if you have the savegame.

It's a funny thing, I'm almost at the end, standing in front of DeMolay's statue in the catacombs, but i don't have the map. I burned it in Topkapi(in the ventillation system to make smoke).
Edit: problem solved, see below

You don't necessarily have to use the map, there is an alternative thing (although I have forgotten what it is) that you can use instead.

Well, I've tried everything, and nothing works. But I managed to "hack" my save and set the george_inventory_topkapi_map=FALSE line to TRUE. So voila, i had the map and finished the game.

My game is completely stuck somewhere in Phoenix and I can't seem to be able to get pat this one part.

It's the part right after Maynard turns into gold after getting stuck in the centrifuge. I've picked up his keys and bank statement, read the bank statement, and used the keys on the door to the left of the centrifuge. However, when I use the keys on the door, the door refuses to open! I've retried this many times and it won't work. Could someone please either Email me a copy of the saved game right after opening the door to burningcyclope at gmail dot com or tell me if I'm doing anything wrong and how you're supposed to go about opening that door?
