Syberia Problem

Well I received my copy of the Syberia CE , which contains both Syberia and Syberia 2 , and i am very happy about that.But there is one problem.My monitor is set to resolution of 1024x768x32 , but when i start either Syberia or Syberia 2 the game runs in 800x600x32. Are both games only playable on 800x600x32 like Paradise for example or the problem is in my PC.If it is in my PC please tell me where to search for it and fix it.(I saw on what resolution it runs in the debug file in the game's folders)
I also put my monitor on 800x600x32 and all the same.I just want to experience these wonderfull graphics in full screen.Not in that damn 800x600 resolution, where there it is space b/n the game window and the end of the visible part of the actual monitor.
Please help me.Thank you in advance
P.S - it does not happen to other games like Guild Wars or DDO for example.It happened to some EA games but only before i start playing(i.e in the menu).
P.S2-I just installed Still Life - and the same problem.Damn.

Im sure theres options to change screen res in both games.I dont think if i remember correctly theres a option for a higher res than 800x 600

I did not find such an option.The only obtions available in both games menus are: Detail Level:Low/High , Color Depth:16/32 bits , Subtitles:Yes/No , Sound Volume, Music Volume and Anti Aliasing:Yes/No(only in Syberia 2 ).That is all.I have nothing against 800x600 Resolution.I do not want higher(if there is ok) ,but the problem is that when the game starts it is somehow windowed in full screen(i.e the game window is somehow separated from the whole window when the game starts full screen but it gets windowed incide the full screen)

Some games work higher resolution if you put "-1024x768" (or something like that) in game shortcut, properties-->target.

example:
F: \Syberia\syberia.exe -1024x768x32
im not sure that is correct, but something like this.

I'm pretty sure you can't change the res of Syberia 1 or 2.

The problem is not in the resolution.I have nothing against 800x600x32 resolution .The Problem is that the games starts Full screen , but it is windowed in the full screen .And i just want to know where the problem is .
I think i found the problem.I just put DDO in 800x600 resolution and it was windowed in that way too.I think is just that kind of screen in 800x600-it could not be full at all.Well i will wait and see for some other answers from you , but i think Syberia just cannot play at higher resolution that 800x600.

maybe you can adjust it from your video card setting or something like that?
