Ripley's Master Lu installation problems

I have an old system with Win 98 and tried installing it that way- no go. I also tried running the installation program through DOS-still nothing. I didn't receive any kind of error message, but my screen looks all crazy. Any hints?

Hi, could you be a little more specific about what goes wrong, and when? This game is known to be tricky to run, but that kind of information increases your chance of getting help.

In the meantime, you may want to try the advice from this thread about installing Master Lu via DOSBox.

I tried installing the game via DOS, and it seemed to load ok (I didn't get any error messages). However, the screen came up all multi-colored and I couldn't go anywhere from there. This happened when trying to run the installation application.

Ugh, is it really worth that much work?
