Default Feeble Files - ScummVM - french version

I have the 4cd windows version, in french.

I installed it on D: \FeebleFiles, copied everything from the CDs to this directory, encoded all the SMK to DXA... And now when i try to run it I get :

Trying to start game 'The Feeble Files'

And I can't for the life of me login into the ScummVM forums (I have no idea why).
If someone could help me or post this on their forums, that would be greatly appreciated.

That would lead me to believe that they've only emulated the english version of the game. You've got to send an email to the ScummVM team with that list and the version of the game, and they might offer a fix for it in the next update.

Yeah, there's a thread on their forums where they mention other versions, and how they'll add them to the next... er... svn?
I wanted to post there, but when I try to log in I only get a blank screen.

I feel your pain. Encoding all the .smk files takes hours.

Yeah well, it did take a long time, but I let him encode during the night, so in the end it wasn't exactly painful. takes a lot of room on my computer, tough.

EDIT: So, anyone here belongs to the ScummVM forums? I may be lacking some kind of plug-in or something, because no matter what navigator I use (Opera, Ferfox, or - gasp - IE), I get the same useless blank page whenever I try to login (I just registered for the first time this afternoon).

That sucks! I have always wanted to play Feeble Files. I've had it since it was released and I never got around to playing it. Before I knew it, years had flown by and it wouldn't run on the latest OS. I am playing it very soon. I will have to dig up my boxed copy in the closet. What a treat!

How did you install it? I snatched a copy from my friend's attic the other day and I can't run the setup file. Did you just do a straight copy of the disc files to your HD and unpack the *.cab files?

I installed from the CDs, using the setup.exe as I would for any other game, and then copied all other files (TABLES..., *.VGA, *.WAV) to the install folder. Then I took the *.smk and transformed them into *.dxa.

Crud. My setup.exe just hangs when I run it and doesn't install. Oh well, back to the attic with the discs then I guess.
