Keepsake save games - help

I had some crashes during my play of Keepsake, so I decided to uninstall and install it back, because I thought it was due to many programms running during first instalation... but I lost all the savegames

I did not count about that at all, every single game I played left the savegames or I was asked if I want to keep them... now I have nothing. Thinking about playing it again from the beggining is scary

So please if anybody does have some (I can be satisfied with one after trials) please let me know

Sorry to hear about your saves.

I haven't played this game yet but hopefully someone who has can help you. What version is it - the UK (DVD) version or the North American (CD) version? (Or a language other than English?)

Well I'm only about to start with the trials (just found the staff and the bracelet)... but if you are satisfied with that i can send it to you... I sppose it doesn't take up to much space???

heard from the game forum that people just relacing the Save folder (back up) after re-installation doesn't help, it gives them error message, does dendy have the same problem?

i'm going to play it in my new laptop so wanna copy my Saves too....just worried it will have the same problem for me

I've got the european version, and moving savegames from one computer to the next worked perfectly for me..

oh.......the savegames are there now in my laptop and it loads ok, but now the 'save' option during the game is disable...see my print screen...i can now only do "save and quit" ..what's wrong???

but the way, does anyone know if the game is to display in wide screen laptop (16:10) with res 1280x800...it doesn't seem to be able as i can see two black boaders at the right and left sides of my screen..

(although my print screen can't show the borders)

Have you tried to save and quit and so see if it goes back to normal?

yes, hav done that and no use.

i've even removed the 'old saves' (copied from old desktop) and put back the 'new save' (the folder generated after the installation) and tried, the 'save only' button just won't show up..........

is it a bug to my laptop system ? hmm.......

what are ur steps? here are mine: --
-install game to the new comp and then run the game, but without clicking 'new game';
-then i quit and copy the 'old save' to the game folder and start the game, and use continue and realize the 'save only' is disabled

Have you tried to click New Game and then do a save and then put your old saves in ?

I installed the game, put the saves folder into the game folder and played.. I did not start up first

i finally chose to uninstall and reinstall again with panthera's method, now it works for me !

though it seems the 2nd time installation takes up a little bit more of my HD space??

Maybe the uninstallation didn't remove all files.. That happens with some games..

however i did removed the whole game folder named wicked studio (i think) before the reintallation?? hmm

oh this save thing seems like a real issue. would any of you mind letting me know what versions you played with. I just purchased the game tonight from an ONLINE store and am waiting for it to be mailed to me so i dont know what version i'll have.

Have u all installed the patch that was spoken about in the other thread? does it install automatically or do u have to download it and apply the patch?

do you all have any tips for me before i install and start playing?

heres hoping my first choice at adventure game back after a long drought is a good choice..

well i just hope that i picked the right game to buy... only time will tell... time being about 1 working week im guessing... i was considering buying Dreamfall instead but Keepsake won out in the end...
