Default Best Mario Kart game

I think I would chose Super Mario Kart for the SNES, followed closely by Mario Kart Double Dash!!.

My favorite is Double Dash, followed closely by the original. I did not like the N64 and GBA versions at all.

Mario Kart DD. But I miss the secrets passages and some items from the 64. (The Blue Shell waaay more powerful in the 64 bits).
Mario Kart SNES was a good game but I've never fallen in love with.. And I've never played the GBA version.

On Mario Kart 64, I keep getting this message on some of the courses
'UNABLE TO SAVE GHOST', when using the Nintendo 64 Controller Pak. What am I doing wrong?

1. Have you enough free room on your pak ?
2. Ghost won't work if a. You paused during the course b. You fall in water, ect.

I erased 121 pages off the pak
It's after I finish the course that it wont let me save ghost data.

How many ghost datas can you save for each Cup?

Is it a fault with the controller pak or the console?

Did you have a message "You can't save your ghost file.." during the course ? Or a error message during the saving after the course ?

You can't save a ghost for a Cup.. I suppose you meant a race.
Also, you can only save a ghost during a time trial.

During the course. It usually happens after Lap 2, or Lap 3.

Oops, I meant for the Trial.

You're probably doing sth 'wrong'. Meaning: falling, getting to far out of the course, pausing, ...

Mario Kart 64 for the kick-ass multiplayer. Double Dash is overrated.

Mario Kart DS is the best one. It isn't released yet, but it just feels to be the best one yet. Wifi mp gaming etc...

But from this games on this list I'm going to have to choose Mario Kart: Super Circuit

Multiplayers map were better in 64 than GC. They're so small in DS. The Blue/Red/Yellow/Green map is definitly not as fun as the 64 version.

That can't be. It happened in the first course, Lap 2 and that track is too easy. I don't think pausing the game will effect anything.

The SNES - original and best. Some things are best kept simple.

Having never played any of the other versions, I find myself praising the SNES Mario Kart, which is still a good game nowadays. I'm not prepared to vote, though, because I can't compare it to the other versions.
