One of the greatest games I've ever had a chance to play, missions were hard, but in a good way. The race was quite difficult for me to win, but with practice you can beat the opponents quite easily. Great story, great gameplay, great voiceovers. This one is a true gem.

I don't know what to say about the ending... yet. It feels like a shotgun blast (haha), but the lights don't go on again after a simple BANG. Yeah, this one has actually written "closure" over it. Sweeet.

I know.. feels sad, doesn't it. Well, be sure to try the free ride extreme mode. There's tons of fun to be had there (very different from the main game, but still real good fun).

Can somebody loan me 25 cents? I lost the eBay Mafia auction that I was bidding on. My max bid was $1.50 and somebody beat me out by 25 lousy cents! So can somebody lend me 25 cents? I will pay you back. Eventually.

I played this game round SCRUGates house and i really liked the game! Especially the variety of cars you get to drive as well as the amount of different missions you get sent on!

Although i preferred the driving i let SCRUGates do the rest of the work

BTW: The graphics reminded me a bit of another game from East Europe: Operation Flashpoint. I think because of the texture coloring and lighting. Best wargame ever.

Yeah, definitely. Totally brilliant stuff, I hope they get a publishing agreement for Armed Assault and their version of Operation Flashpoint 2 (which doesn't have a name yet). Too bad they got into problems with Codemasters.

Best single-player wargame ever (haven't tried multi). Okay?
This game *is* war (simulation!). It's a more realistic approach to that kind of thing than BF or CoD, Brothers In Arms, etcetc, which makes it a hard game, admittedly. F&!kin' A mission design, day-night cycle, huge maps (entire islands),.. Too bad my CD seems to be scratched beyond repair.

I tried to play the free ride extrem mode. LOL! Suddenly, there's a zeppelin flying over the bridge between China Town and Hoboken, and it's... SPOILER You get some "missions" in this mode, like "Disarm this bomb in X minutes". It's fast and it's furious and pretty amusing.

If I remember correctly, it's up with the hospital.

I think I completed all the missions (and unlocked a whole bunch of really cool cars, like some crazy hot rods). I was completely hooked on that mode... I wonder if I still have my old saves...

Okay, I'm an idiot...it was literally right above the bridge north of the city (yep by the hospital)...THAT was a pretty awesome mission.

Cheers

You should try BF2 multiplayer Sam. Operation Flashpoint does have a realistic approach, but there are a ton of scripted events, the A.I. isn't exceptional, and the vehicle control is simplified. So, in terms of setting and style Op Flash really nails it, but in terms of the realism of combat...A.I. and scripted events just can't really compete with 32 or 64 real players. BF2 is completely unscripted and the A.I. is replaced by actual human brains, plus it has the huge, well designed maps and great vehicle control covered. Try it. I think you'll really like it.
