Screenshots

I can't even describe it. It's so unbelievable. I can't wait to play this (STALKER: Oblivion Lost). What are your favourite screenshots? |
Eh, my rig would faint by the time this game comes out, even though I've been tracking it ever since it was first announced. Beautiful looking game.
Oh, and Erkki, why is this thread in Chit Chat instead of General gaming? |

This game will rock the world.
Looks totally awesome, the last video trailer was unbelievably gorgeous. It will be heavy stuff, but I think my little pc can manage it... at least I hope it will. |
I'd post some Uru screenshots but one of the best parts of that game is being amazed at what you see... It would be like spoiling the end of the game. (Which really isn't that great anyway).

I'd post some Uru screenshots, but I don't wanna go worrying about where to find server space.
Well, here's a really tiny one that fits in 40k. It doesn't spoil anything, no. |
It doesn't do the game justice, either, I'm afraid. Uru is just one of those games that looks most sumptuous in motion, so any screenshot of it seems redundant.
|
Well, it looks a lot better at 1280x1024. Trust me; I looked at it fullsize before shrinking and posting it, and it was marvelous.

Ok, I caved in and purchased URU this evening. WOW. I have to get a new computer for this game. It's just way too beautiful. It chugs a little on my system and I can only imagine what it feels like when it's played at high res with all the options on running smooth as silk. It's soooo pretty.
That first ravine is just so mysterious and I love how the whole "going underground" into a tree motif. In addition, there's the whole online Uru live stuff happening this week. I wonder how the quests are going to be handled? |

I've posted a crapload of screens from Uru. But that's the point, they were static images that people (back then) refused to believe were real time 3D. They thought it was a new upcoming Myst game done in the classic 2D, some even thought it was just concept art. They looked very good enough, although not the supermodel photogenic good of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. or Half-Life2. Uru, I think, just happens to be one of those games that look best in motion.

As opposed to all those games that look best still?
