Two world war 2 shooters by EA :shifty: ... Who buys these "things" :frusty:

Shodan 07-04-2005 02:33 AM

Hey, I liked Allied Assault. I don't remember if it was EA who published it though. Or if it was even set in WW2 (I spent my history classes doodling ok?). :z

Hammerite 07-04-2005 03:01 AM

I'm not surprised that there's a lot of crap in that chart. Most of our British population buy anything if its a license, made by EA or has gratitious gore so the little toddlers can say: "Mommy! Mommy! Can I have Manhunt?" so the idiot mother says: "Yes. Games are for kids, if you are influenced to kill someone I can get lots of money given to me because of my stupidity and get them all banned so everyone can sit down and watch whatever brainless crap is on ITV that even though being completely idiotic and stupid still challenges my brain."
And the Sims too.

Battlefield 2's a WW2 shooter, huh?

Try war on terror. And it's real good.

Being bias against EA and ranting about an issue that will never hurt the gaming industry is fun.

Battlefield 2 is a great game, and there's nothing WWII about it.

squarejawhero 07-04-2005 11:24 AM

I concur. BF2 rewards strategic thinking and forward planning. Plus it's fun shooting people in the face.

...

... dunno where I got that from.

:D

...and it's most DEFINITELY NOT WW2. Doctor "Fistful of Boomstick" Squarejaw suggests actually reading up on what you're complaining about before complaining. ;) Then that hot flush should disappear in future!

Yeah, it's real WW2. Considering the highly advanced weapons and vehicles, and that you're fighting the middle-east.

sethsez 07-04-2005 11:55 AM

I think he made a typo and meant to type "not" somewhere in there. :P

Oh.

Do you think that if Han didn't drive Vader off Luke's tail, the Death Star would still be destroyed?

So where should it be set? Kansas?

Action games have been set all around the globe. We've had ones in America, South America, Japan and Korea, many European countries, many locations in Africa... why is the middle east any more :shifty: than any other location?

Sounds fun ;) .

I don't why games needs to specifically name countries. Jagged Alliance (to speak about what I know) takes place in imaginary places, fighting imaginary terrorist groups, and it works really well.
