Default Deus Ex 3! wow

check out pczone.com to for the news.

it says:"We've already stared thinking about the third game in the series," Spector told us; and while he was saying little else about this third in the FPS-cum-RPG series of a cyberpunk persuasion, he did hint that, not surprisingly, the plot of number three would in some way be tied in with first title and imminent sequel.

sounds cool

I think I'll just wait for 'Deus Ex 4: Deus Ex Meets Thief'.

Interesting... Allthough I think I'd like it better if they used their talent on something, I dunno, NEW. Visionary brains like sets precedents, and now they're telling young developers that the smart people go for sequels.

In other news: Deus Ex 3!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!

Actually, Warren (or Harvey, i forget..) did a speech on exactly this at some GDC conf. (See gamasutra.com, free reg req.) They are big fans of telling devs to do sequel and licensed games, because of the incredibly difficult market, and to do all the innovation *within* the brand. That said, how much reinventing does Deus Ex 2 do? (I dunno.. I'm asking.)

He wasn't really encouraging devs to start creating more sequels but rather saying that it doesn't have to be that bad if you *have to* do sequels.

What, in continuing a revolutionary and successful series and franchise? Yeah, what are they thinking?
