Oh My God of War!
Okay, I've just completed one of the most impressive games of this generation, regardless of console. God of War has the best graphics, soundtrack, gameplay and an involving story to add on any of the consoles to date, and that's on the supposedly inferiour Playstation 2.
This game MUST be bought, by ANYONE that has a PS2. This is also a PS2 exclusive so if you don't have one yet, go out and buy one immediately. This game tops them all. Probably the best game overall on PS2, if you don't count genres. I have difficulties finding ANYTHING wrong with this game. Controls are perhaps the most fluid and most perfect I've ever encountered in an action game, there are never difficulties controlling your character. There are different deaths for different enemies, and some of them are rather impressive. The soundtrack should be nominated for an oscar (no wonder, Clint Bajakan was one of the composers, if not lead. I don't remember), the level designs are incredible, the graphics are jaw-dropping and the violence is as graphics and you could get them. Not to mention the best titties in a videogame - ever :p. So, if you don't already have this game, get it NOW. Every PS2 owner should have one. There's no excuse for not buying it, if you like games like Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden or Rygar, this game is for you. If you're like me, and not really into the genre at all... this may just be the game to change your mind. ...and the best part is: there WILL be a sequel. |

Yeah, this game's been getting stellar reviews. It's their first major game, isn't it? Awesome.

I concur. I haven't been this impressed with a game in a LONG time. My girlfriend was eager to have me play so she could watch the story unfold. It's so visceral. Violent asskicking at its best. Amazing vistas, that for a PS2, smoke many an Xbox game *cough*JadeEmpire*/cough*. Liquid smooth control. When I finished this two weeks ago, I was flush with emotion and fury that I wanted to post here, but alas, I didn't.

I'm so looking forward to buying it - I first saw it on Gamer TV and then saw some pretty impressive screeenshots.
My earlier post about it had positive replies - I just need to wait until I can afford to buy it, £35 is a little steep for me at the moment |

Plan to get it when I finish one of my games. There's no doubt in my mind that this will be one of the greatest games I'll ever play.
