Default Beyond Good & Evil style games?

Anyone know of another game that is of the Beyond Good and Evil style that I might be able to purchase? A sort of Action-Adventure/But-Still-Good type of game Any recommendations?

I wouldn't say Deus Ex is like BG&E, but it is a must play.

ICO is more in that direction. (If you own a console). Also the other Little Big Adventure games feature a similar atmosphere and gameplay.

Ah, yes, I've already played Deus Ex and it instantly made my top 5 list of favorite games of all time. Unfortunately, I don't own a ps2 so I doubt I'll be able to play ICO. Also sampled the Little Big Adventure Games and wasn't too into them. Thanks though anyway. Have you any other suggestions?

How are ICO and BG&E similar?

I haven't posted yet, but I'd have to say Ico and BG&E are both 3rd person adventures (under the console definition of the term) that involve exploration and puzzle-solving with highly identifiable characters and strong, cohesive plots. Both involve combat and have other action elements, but they are usually just an aspect of the game, not the primary focus.

Heck, I'd toss in Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and Wind Waker if Timbo liked BG&E. I see a lot more similarities with the modern Zelda games than with most PC adventures in BG&E (even though I could easily see how a PC adventure fan would enjoy BG&E)

Heh, what Bard09 said Ico and BG&E are way more similar than Deux Ex and BG&E. To be honest, I don't know much more action/adventures with a light sort of action. There really ought to be more games in this sub-genre. (Apart from more pure adventure games, of course )

Sphinx: Curse of the Mummy (available on all consoles) is a great Action/Adventure game similar to Beyond Good and Evil (both are two of my favorite games)

All the 3-d zeldas?

Ico and Sphinx aren't too bad either. I got sphinx at best buy for $10.

Deus Ex is nothing like BG&E (except for maybe it's story) but it's still awesome.

Any of the Zelda games, definitely.

I also saw quite a lot of similarities between BG&E and Metroid Prime. In the latter, you can scan everything in site to create a database of all the life-forms on the planet you're on, which is also an incredibly beautiful place. You also have to grab power-ups to get to new places, face a few big bad-ass bosses, and there are plenty of secrets. However, the game is different in that it lacks any sort of character interaction - you learn about the former inhabitants of the island and the invading Space Pirates through interacting with various tablets and computer systems - kind of like Myst, in a way. The other difference being that it's a first-person shooter.

Outcast is a must play - it was a ground-breaking title in its day and still plays well today, although you need to make sure that your system will run it as it was produced a few years ago now...

I haven't played BG&E yet, but from your description I'd say: Play Gothic 1 & 2, Awesome Adventure-RPGS/Hack&Slash-Adventures/Whatever-Its-Fun.

... and I totally agree Outcast, LBA 1&2 and Deus Ex are must plays.
