Galleon (remember that?)

Okay, I... erm... downloaded Galleon for the Xbox, to see what Toby Gards been up to since he created the Tomb Raider franchize. And the game is definately Tomb Raider inspired. Toby Gard have come up with a new controlsystem, that's bascially an evolution of the Tomb Raider control-system. And while the Tomb Raider series stayed with the same control system for ever and ever, this new control system from the guy who invented it took it to a new level.

I only played a half an hour or so, and I must say I'm impressed. I had lost all hope for this game to feel even remotely fresh. But that's what it is. Not fresh in a revolutionary way, but at least in a way that other developers should take note of. This is one game I will buy as soon as I get some cash to spare, and will keep me interested at least until Driv3r comes out.

Way to go, Toby, I hope this game continues with a sequel or two, or that you at least keep making games, but release them just a bit more often. If you do that, you'll be able to live up to the reputatioin of a genious developer and not only survive on the merits of the Tomb Raider franchize.

This game must've been in development for at least 4 years.

I'll say. I remember reading about it back then, and forgot about it due to lack of press. Nice to see that it's resurfaced.
