Your favorite shareware games?
The online exclusives thread gave me the idea for this question. I personally love shareware games, having grown up with them in my youth when I couldn't afford to pay any of the registration fees. Now that I'm all grown-up (a fact that may be debated) I'd like to start looking into shareware again.
Since quality shareware titles aren't really newsworthy by most gaming publications, I thought a thread was in order. What shareware games have you played that you just had to purchase? Share your favorites here! (Pun very much intended) |

I don't think this is what you had in mind, but for me Doom really was the shareware game I HAD to purchase.

Oh, Commander Keen was great! I can't believe I parted with my 3 1/2 by 5 floppy of Keen Dreams a few years ago. Talk about a mistake.
