this week's new game from Enter The Story
As of February 21st 2012, Enter The Story: classic books as games is relaunched with new content every day.
If it's OK with everyone I'll use this thread to list the new games as they appear. Some people don't consider them to be adventures, so I'm posting in the "general" forum to be safe. But judge for yourself: each story lets you make the decisions on a classic adventure , facing the same puzzles as in the original book. The daily update is free, and it only takes six seconds from clicking the link to playing the game, so see what you think! Stories so far: Old style adventures: Les Misérables The Divine Comedy Hesiod's Theogony A Tale of Two Cities The Count of Monte Cristo New style weekly adventures: The Picture of Dorian Gray Journey To The Center of the Earth Coming soon: The First Men In The Moon Romeo and Juliet The Wizard of Oz And another new story every week. I'll keep you posted! Visitors can also make their own games - it's easy, free, and I'll host them for you if you want. Hope you like it! http://enterthestory.com/a/web/screenshot_Center.jpg |
The First men in The Moon
This week's game is H.G.Wells' The First Men In The Moon: with more content, better graphics, and more ways to die than ever before.
http://enterthestory.com/a/Moon/1/1.gif The current game is always free to play (up to that day's chapter). Go on, have a click. You know you want to. |
Romeo and Juliet
This week's free game is Romeo and Juliet! Slightly delayed because I've added a lot of improvements, in response to feedback:

This weeks's free game: Macbeth
http://enterthestory.com/other/screenshots/Macbeth.jpg I'm not keeping up quite with one game per week, but that's because there is so much experimentation behind the scenes. E.g. Macbeth has more color, better art (mostly!) and various other tweaks. Any feedback or suggestions are appreciated. |
Latest game: Frankenstein, added last week. It's more immediate than recent games: the hero plays a central role, and it uses speech balloons to make the player feel more involved. It's been the most popular game yet.
