The only game/expansion(s) taking place out of america. I wouldn't say London is exotic enough.

I'm crossing my fingers they do Vice City again. Vice City will always be my favourite GTA game, with the lush Floridian backdrop and killer 80s soundtrack.

Here we go!
At first I thought it was Vice City, but it looks like we're heading back to San Andreas! Either way, I'm still chuffed. And the visuals look just as nice as those of IV, but y'know, improved.

I hope it's not CJ and his gangsta BS again (lots of cameos for sure), but I definitely want to be able to fatten up my character like a pig just like the good ol PS2 days.

There are two things I love about this trailer:
1. The use of The Small Faces to soundtrack it, which is genius. 2. How understated it is. It hints at the themes of the game simply through its use of imagery, like shots of the wealthy golfing and looking out over skyscraper-filled skylines juxtaposed with a 'For Sale' sign being hammered into a lawn and a homeless shantytown. It seems like this game is going to be at least partially dealing with the financial crisis and there couldn't be a more appropriate time for that.

I agree about the RPG elements though - I hope they bring them back.

I thought it sounding like Ray Liotta (Tommy from Vice City), but his people deny that his is in the game.
Also did you notice that the 3 guys robbing the bank are seen separately in the rest of the video. Does this suggest you play as all three of them in an intermingling storyline.

I imagine a late-middle age white guy.
Also, this game looks GREAT! I loved San Andreas. You may disagree with the characters used, but the game offered an alternate lifestyle and character which offered a great story from beginning to end. Gangster? So? Why should that affect anything?

I would be a happy man if I'm playing a middle aged Tommy Vercetti in San Andreas. Even though I consider Red Dead Redemption as Rockstar's best work to date, during the early 00s I thought Vice City was the greatest video game of ALL TIME. So, any attempt to revisit that story and its crazy characters is welcomed.
Great looking trailer otherwise - I can't wait to drive around (and off) that mountain in HD. |

Okay, not quite San Andreas, just Los Santos according to this. Slightly disappointing considering the original San Andreas was huge thanks to Los Santos, San Fierro and Las Venturas. Unless of course Rockstar make Los Santos about the same size as the original San Andreas - the equivalent of all 3 of those counties combined - then... Hell, so long as it's bigger than GTA IV's map...

k, let's see here:
His momma was killed by a rival gang and some po-pos framed him for a crime he didn't commit. Upon returning to his neighbourhood he had to reearn the "respect" of his fellow gangsters. Then there's the whole story about ghostwriting and stolen lyrics, there's the Easy-e's lame tribute, there's... your getting the point, right? And GTA4? That's like me saying "Rocky2 has a sucky story" and you then reply "So you're saying Rocky4 BS story is better then?!", wth is wrong with you. |

That sounds nothing like how I'm talking. I'm just pointing out how San Andreas gangster story is pretty great. Yet it seems like you have heard this story before in another game? Where? Oh wait, because you don't understand why people make games or games with a story. I never said GTAIV's game was lacking, it was sarcasm to prove the exact point in which you have so kindly provided in your reply.
