I was just wondering, when will LucasArts announce their new cool upcoming non-Star Wars game titles? because I remeber at this time last year ( b/c it was my Birthday ) that they announced the sequel to the golden classic Full Throttle. what happened to LucasArts this year? They usually tell you when they'll announce their upcoming titles in their news letter before a week or so.


Any way. here's what they announced recently:

Merecenaries
Star Wars: Battle Front
Star Wars: Republic Commando
Star Wars: KotOR 2 (unannounced yet)
Sam & Max: Freelance Police (I have a strong feeling somehow that they will reconsider it!)

Well these are 4 game titles (well, actually 5!). How many do you think they will announce this year. I think probably 11, and cancelling maybe 2 of them so that leaves us with 9. well, who knows? maybe they won't cancel them after all!

They're not going to resurrect Freelance Police. And Republic Commando was announced last year.

RC was announced only as a trailer last year. Surely it will be one of their games this year as well. I suspect we'll be seeing some as of yet unannounced Episode 3 stuff. Pod Racer 3: Racer Revenges Revenge perhaps.

This year the only interesting thing is KOTOR2. They could suprise us, but I doubt it.

If they don't announce bringing back Sam and Max 2, people will get mad. If they do announce they're bringing back Sam and Max 2, people will get mad. It's a lose-lose situation for them.

Not that it matters anyway because they are not going to announce that they are bringing it back.

Does it really matter what lucasarts will announce anyways?
I'm quite positive that most of the titles will have the headlines "Star Wars" smudged somewhere on all their titles. LucasArts bites ass.

I think I would feel somehow again insulted by LEC if they'd choose not to uncancel Freelance Police I know there is virtually no chance of them goin' through with it, but I would seriously hate them even more if they wouldn't announce FP at E3. It'd be like their last chance to correct that mistake, atleast that's how they'll go down in my book.

Does anyone really care what games they're gonna announce this year?
After cancelling Sam & Max 2, I don't see any reason why they should announce a new adventure.
Probably several more crappy Star Wars games.

I would be glad to see I'm wrong..
