Games like Fury of the Furries and Lost Vikings
Is there anything more or less recent, (save for Lemmings) on the PS3/PC that is similar to those games? Teamwork-coordinated puzzlers/platformers where you have work to in tandem to solve puzzles/reach a common goal? I know that Fury of the Furries is slightly different mechanically, but it's conceptually similar.
There was another old Dos game that featured the Tinies(the creatures from Fury of the Furries)- Tiny Sqweeks. Games like that would also be nice. |
Never heard of it but by descriptions I've read it doesn't sound like what I'm looking for.
The most recent one I've played that is similar to what I'm asking is Trine. |
I would assume you already know of / have played Little Big Planet on the PS3... But if not, check it out for single player or co-op with up to three other people.
This one may be a long shot (or possibly right on target), but there is a game called "Prometheus" on PC. You control your past, present and future self to solve puzzles. It's closer to The Lost Vikings in the sense that you control one character at a time. Also, it's free. Preview video and download on this page: http://www.udk.com/showcase-prometheus |
Man, I forgot about Lost Vikings. That game is a masterpiece! Gotta fire up the emulator.
I wish I could think of a game similar to Lost Vikings, but that game is pretty original. |
Thank you, default.I have both LBP games. I'll give Prometheus a try.
@Facepuncher: Lost Vikings also has an excellent sequel,in case you don't know, called Norse by Norsewest; It's from 1997. You can download a ROM for it too. Just throwing this out there, because it took me a long time to discover it myself, for some reason. |
Have you played the Gobliiins games? They should be exactly what you're looking for, switching between three characters to solve elaborate puzzles.
