Default Nokia learns from its mistakes! The new N-Gage

For those who give a D about mobile gaming...
http://www.n-gage.com/en-R1/gamedeck...UID=D7YTFAMKT0
I completely forgot I suscribed to the Nokia newsletter, I only remembered when I got this mail telling me how "marvellous" the new Nokia N-Gage QD is....

You swap game whithout taking the battery out, its smaller, and they say it WILL be cheaper...

But still, lets face it folks, mobile gaming sucks, the only decent mobile gaming company is Gameloft, but since they makes games for all models, why buy this one?

At least its a step in the right direction....

Now that I think of it, Nokia denied that they where making a new N-Gage...

As for me, by some strange twist of fate, I somehow got a "free" uprgrade of my phone... In other words, my phone had problems, I wanted to change it, the model was discontinued so I get the newest model...

Oh well, you can't the N-Gage bashing now...

I think it's hilarious that Nokia actually printed that.

Overall, much better (i.e. they unstupidified it), but that black ring-stripe is butt fugly. What idiot do they have in the back designing these things?

I'm still laughing at that EBGames guy that was wearing an N-Gage t-shirt in some press video and saying "N-Gage is the hottest new mobile gaming deck on the block!" or something. I laughed so hard at that. Hmm, think I'll dig it up again, just for laughs.

EDIT: Here it is. I recommend watching it if you haven't before, it's so funny watching that spokeswoman from Nokia talk.

Well, AFAIK, N-Gage is the ONLY MOBILE gaming deck around!
Let's see how they do when they have some competetion...

I don't know the exact definition of "mobile gaming deck", but the N-Gage QD doesn't feature MP3 playback or a radio tuner like the old sidetalkin' version. That said, it is the most complete platform out there at the moment, technically speaking, too bad it lacks any decent games.

wouldn't a GBA be considered a 'mobile gaming deck'? cause the GBA in my opinion kills the n-gage three times. I think nokia is trying way too hard at this.

Let's be honest here, who is actually going to buy one of these?

I won't ...

Some people collect game systems even if they never play with them...
But I insist mobile gaming needs to wise up fast, the games may look as better than a GBA, but the gameplay is horrible and un-original...
Most of the games are clones of others games which are clones of old games to start with....

I really liked Marek's side-talking photo. Why didn't you send that one to these kind people, yo?

It's amazing how many stupid people live on this planet, so it'll probably sell rather well. I would never buy a portable gaming device though, I have better things to do.

It bombed so hard that even Nokia had to admit it wasn't selling particularly well.
