mmmm I don't know man... I lost interest after they made FEAR 2.
The first was the best by far but this new FEAR3 does look pretty good so I might not be totally stoked for now but that might change after I play it. |

In any case, I remember the huge excitement for the first FEAR game before it came out. I was stoked. But eventually I lost a good deal of that excitement and never actually got the game.
I've read the reviews, though. Hmm, it's dirt cheap now for consoles.

Yeah you will definitely enjoy the first.... the second game is more or less
the same but in my opinion not as good and all the other expansions etc are well... just a waste of time. |

In my opinion, the FEAR games are good, but not great. But I agree that the second one is weak in comparison to the first. And I'm not 'stoked' about FEAR 3, but I will be renting it after I've finished renting Alice: Madness Returns.
I wish I had rented the first two FEAR games as well...

I've been playing F3AR for the past several months now (I'm a developer) and I gotta say...I still smile every time I possess a soldier as Fettel.

If you go into F.E.A.R. 3 expecting a horror game, you're probably going to be disappointed. There's some scary-ish elements but this is a series that has definitely shifted the focus to action. It's still worth playing though, especially if you're going to be doing co-op. Going through the campaign with a friend is a lot funner than I was expecting it to be.

Oh, how scary games spoiled me. I remember when i practically pissed my pants playing Fear 1. Now, all i do is yawn at scary games.
Was the same with Blairwitch Project. Shat my pants the first time through. |

Is this FEARtalker guy part of the game's marketing strategy? Cause, if so, that's really bizarre.
On a more relevant note, I wish horror games were less action-orientated and more subtle. If a game can reach the levels of creepy atmosphere that I experienced playing Silent Hill 2 on a crappy old TV in my tiny bedroom, then there's a lot to look forward to.

I've not played them, but I keep meaning to check them out. I think my sister's got one of em.
Might get my Garrett costume ready.
