I'm sure there's a few Japanese guys missing in this list.

Though it's probably US game-gods only?

No, you’re not weird. The main reason why I know almost all these guys by heart is, like I mentioned earlier, because I have scans of that old PC Gamer article on my wall and I look at it almost every day. Well, I'm not starring at it all day, if that's what you’re thinking, but when you have something, for example, on your wall, you tend to look at it quite often, maybe without even noticing. I believe that this happens often especially if you like the object in question, which I very much do in this case.
The above mentioned isn't the only reason of course. I also follow the gaming scene rather keenly and take notice if someone for example leaves a company or something similar.

I'm pretty sure that the large majority of players wouldn't know who most of these people are, and personally I think that it's a shame. These guys would be great marketing figures for their respective companies. Some of them already are really well known and their names are used when marketing their games, but sadly it's just a minority.
A reason might be that many of these guys' golden days are in the past, at least in my opinion.

You have a point. How many people have made more than one magnificent game?

Is that a rhetorical question or are you actually asking me?
