Although it hasn't been officially confirmed, there are several things that indicate to it going to be announced.

I'd say it's as good as 99.9 percent will see a trailer.

I just watched the teaser, interesting that there are fotos of T. E. Lawrence scattered over the table.

hmmm ....

Oh, and I suggest you already heard the terrible news that Mark Wahlberg is going to
portray Drake in the movie adaption. David O. Russell ("Three Kings") will take a seat in the directors chair.

First Max Payne and now Uncharted.
For that matter Uwe Boll could direct the feature.
"Boll-Wahlberg", the 21st century equivalent to "Scorsese-Deniro" ?

Playstationinformer is showing the magazine scans from GameInformer's coverage of the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot.

Game informer has its own site that has the usual developer fluff right now and will probably host the magazine content and other bits on the 'come back' release date (12/14)

Makeshift weapons, wounds effect move-set, survival horror.

I welcome the reboot, despite finding Underworld the best Tomb Raider yet even with its short run time/rushed ending. Throwing yourself around the environments was never better, but it still suffered from the tomb raider formula of inane enemies and hopeless combat mechanics.

I welcome hardcore Tomb Raider fans leaving in a huff over the lack of careless looting of relics from ludicrous trap/magic filled tombs. Well I wish they'd just leave, quietly, and let the series try to move with the times. Try to get away from the stupid parts of the old formula.

So long as it finally ditches the pathetic lock on and jump about while holding fire excuse for combat I'm very interested and will happily call it a Tomb Raider game if only to piss off the stupid 'we hate CD' fans.

I'm a hardcore Tomb Raider fan and i love the traditional TR formula. But i'm loving the path Crystal wants to take the series. its a bold move and fortunatly they seem to be moving away from the Uncharted formula. That was one of my fears. Hope they keep it essencialy an exploration/platform game and not an action game, and from what we know, thats exacly what they are doing

@Tio

I am not going to acknowledge the existence of an Uncharted movie.
Naughty Dog probably doesn't even sanction it.
The license rights lies with Sony and they probably wanted a cheap cash-in. =(

Sounds plausible, as sad as it is

Uncharted 3 will deliver the goods.
That´s the only thing of importance.

Don´t care for the movie (anymore)

Great news about Uncharted 3. I am currently playing Uncharted 2. I am on the casual difficulty and am having a terrible time with the chapters near the end in Shambala. The enemy soldiers combined with the powerful Shambala natives, and my horrible shooting skills is making it tough to complete this awesome game. I like the exploration and the platforming aspects, but sometimes the combat parts drive me insane. I would like to see Naughty Dog do a side project that is basically an Uncharted game minus the combat parts. Have Elena Fisher be the main character and follow her on the things she gets into being an investigative journalist. It could be a way to show people how Adventure Games in the 21st century should be made.

Something similair exists. Only it was an online experience.
You were Elena and had to solve clues on the internet and follow Nathan's trail and you got to read research related to UC1 and it serves as a set up for the game. It was pretty cool. I hope they will include it as some sort of flash-game in a future installment.
Because for the collectors it is still canonical material.

So... i lost my head and bought a PS3. A friend borrowed me Uncharted and i'm really liking it, as i was expecting the platforming and exploration are a bit lacking and there's too much combat, but overall its being a very good experience.

Hope so! I already have it here with me. I think i'm close to the end on Uncharted, i'm at chapter 20.

The begining and the end chapters are brilliant, but most of the middle part was ruined by the same arena like combat, so repetitive and frustrating. It's really not like the classic Tomb Raider formula, don't know why so many people compare them.

The voice acting and the acting in general are really very, very good.

Uncharted 2 is way better than the first one. Every chapter is different, it's like a movie, a good movie... once the action begins is really hard to find the right moment to stop and put down the controller.

I have both Uncharted games and love them to pieces I've played them over and over. I think they should move more AG's into this format in the future the genre will get a boost from it and the AG will live on! And I'm ultra excited that Uncharted 3 is out next year.

It's extremely rare that I play through games several times, but the Uncharted series is an exception. The game is just plain fun to play through, and the set-pieces are heads above everything on the market.

When it comes to combat vs exploration, it's easy to compare the game to Indiana Jones or Tomb Raider. We often forget about how much of an action movie the Indy series were, and it's easy to think of Indiana Jones as all about exploration and puzzle solving. After all, (almost) every fans' favourite Indy game is a point'n'click adventure game. The Tomb Raider series isn't known for fantastic gunplay or action parts, but for it's exploration, platforming and puzzle solving.

So it's a common mistake to put Uncharted in the same genre as those, when in fact it's closer to the Die Hard series of movies, with an Indiana Jones setting. Nathan Drake is basically the John McClane of games.

And i finished Uncharted 2. Much better than the first one, although the story was a bit too similar. The combat is still too much, i died a lot.

Anyway, both games were good, the second was brilliant at times, but overall i still prefere my good old Tomb Raider's XD

Next on the list: Heavy Rain.
