It's not an adventure game, per se, which is why I posted it in here, but it is a puzzle-platformer, supposedly by the people who created MI SE. The art direction looks awesome.

I noticed that it just became available on Steam, and there seems to be no demo available. Has anyone played this yet? Is it any good?

I played the Xbox demo last night, and I have to admit I didn't really care for it. I wish I did because it looks really pretty and I'd like to support new IP from LucasArts, but the gameplay didn't hook me.

Basically you have this girl who is walking from left to right on a 2d screen, with platforms and enemies and stuff that she has to get through or around. But instead of controlling the girl, you have these pieces you put down in front of her to help her. So she's marching along no matter what, and you have to put down a plank of wood to prevent her from falling, or some stairs to help her get somewhere, or some bouncy shoes to make her jump, or whatever. I don't know if you can die because when I hit enemies by accident it didn't seem to do anything.

You need to help her to collect as many fireflies as possible before she gets all the way to the end of the stage. I get the impression you're supposed to do stages multiple times using different routes in order to get 100% of the fireflies.

Anyway. It just didn't appeal to me. I prefer having direct control of the protagonist.

It seems to be getting lukewarm reactions from most places, and I'm not too impressed myself from the gameplay videos I've seen. I think I'll hold off and perhaps get it if Steam discount it at some point.
