Default Deathspank: what do you think?

Why should you be excited about Deathspank? Because it is designed by Ron Gilbert, the creator of Monkey Island that's why. According to Ron, Deathspank is part Monkey Island and part Diablo. Gamespot has 7 minutes of gameplay on their site from a PAX demo of Deathspank Deathspank on gamespot. From the gameplay, it seems there's more emphasis on the Diablo aspect, but it could be that he's just concentrating on that for the game show, because it is easier to demo for a crowd. What do you guys think about Deathspank so far?

I highly doubt it's PC only. From what I understood, they haven't announced platforms as of yet. But judging from Hothead's older series (namely The Penny Arcade Adventures), they ported that to Linux, PSN, and XBOX Live Arcade. I would be very surprised if they don't announce it for multiple platforms.

EDIT: Actually the gameplay you posted shows the ABXY buttons of the 360 controller

There is a god. *

* I'm atheist, so just take that as a "so to speak".

Holy smoked mackerel - some gameplay footage. I'm really hoping this puts gaming idiosyncrasies sharply into focus and have some much needed fun with them. Afterall that's how Deathspank started...

The art direction looks friggin' awesome.

Hmmm... another game to add to my list. The graphics/art sure look funky.
