What happened to all the vintage games on ebay?
I used to be able to search on ebay and find hundreds of boxed vintage games and systems (actual computers, like amiga, apples, etc.).
Now there seems to be a dearth of these things. Did they move to a different site or are people just not selling them any more? |

Maybe you just hit ebay at a bad time? I've had pretty good luck with it in the past, but it is definitely hit and miss. I do know that a lot of people have just gotten fed up with ebay, so maybe it's losing its luster somewhat.

I agree that ebay has changed tremendously. I'm not into computer systems, but there's definitely a lack of interest in most adventure games, rare ones included, compared to one or two years ago.

Same experience here. I saved some of my old sellers in my favorites list, and most of them are not selling anything any more.

I have been using private dealers who have lines to good sources...and Amazon, both US and UK, both have served me very well when i really need something.

What I don't like about Amazon is that it is much harder to tell what a seller has than it is on eBay. Most haven't the slightest idea whether they have an original version or a remake, for example.

This is no good news for me as I still have to sell my games that I was planning to sell 2,5 years ago already.
I've been too lazy to even touch those. These "financial crisis" times are not good for selling stuff.
