Activision dropping Brutal Legend?
Seems like it: http://www.gamespot.com/news/6195113...stnews;title;1
How sad if this it true :frown: That was my most anticipated game of 2008. I hope Tim and crew can find a better publisher than the crap producing, sequel regurgitating Activision. |
They havn't officially said they were dropping those games. Just that that particular Activblizzard section wasn't publishing them.
Possibly one of the other Activision sections are publishing it or maybe they will farm them out to another publisher. Doesn't look promising though. :( Fecking idiots though, dropping the only interesting products in favour of kids crap Spyro and Crash. |
They better not be.
I was worried this might happen when they first announced the merger. Nothing good ever comes of these things, for the consumer that is. More money-hats for the stockholders... |

As people have been speculating, this 'unique distributor' might be Steam or some other form of digital distribution.
Which I'm not a big fan of, but this might mean a PC version and that's a biggie. Hoping this is the case... |
And this is why I hate big corporations...
|
I'm sure you all know this already, but Double Fine said BL isn't affected by this (it was on their page the day after the news of Activision dropping stuff was out).
|
I think the message was that "it's fine". Which probably means they've a backup plan... there are some rumours and speculations floating around.
|
No one should worry about this title. It will come out and be as awesome as everyone thinks it will be. I just hope it gets better marketing than Psychonauts did. :-(
