Yet another, the game is on the SNES.
|
Eye of the Beholder?
EDIT: Nah ... |
No.
Final hint (this should give the game away); the game blends elements of both fantasy and sci-fi together. |
*feels stupid for never hearing of a SNES game with both sci-fi and fantasy, even though he owns a SNES*
|
So, a hint Re-Cap and a few new ones:
1. Action/RPG. 2. Isometric Perspective. 3. SNES. 4. Licensed IP. 5. Blends Fantasy and Sci-Fi. 6. The other versions of the game were released for the Genesis/Mega Drive, Sega CD, Xbox 360 and PC... and they're all called exactly the same. Only the Xbox 360 and PC versions are the same (though it pissed all over the timeline, setting and canon of the source material, thus it was shunned by the fans and became a colossal failure). 7. The SNES version was developed by an Australian company (which is still active, though they've changed their name recently). Seriously now... SOMEONE here has to have played this game, or at least know of the license on which it is based... |
Is she from Front Mission? (I spent 15 minutes looking through SNES RPGs before I could even find one somewhat isometric.)
I looked through this list: http://forums.gamewinners.com/forums...d.php?t=282986. Unfortunately, none of the games seem to fit your description. Just tell us already and give a new character. |
The game isn't on that list.
Try MobyGames. |

I was holding my tongue to see if anyone was going to get this one, but I guess I will step in and get the game moving.
The picture is from Shadowrun. I think there was only one SNES Shadowrun released. The thing that should have given it away was the fact that an Xbox 360 game and PC game were made from the IP that was a big disappointment to original fans, including me. Anyhow, here is my contribution in the attachment: |
Hmm... I'm probably glad I've never played the game he's from...
|
Actually, the game was spectacular and highly underrated. But if you commenting on his looks, they are quite gruesome. It makes sense considering his role in the game.
|
Yeah, it's the looks I'm talking about. I mean, he looks like a lich wearing a spine who has twig-claws for hands, and he's completely covered in blood. Am I about right in my description?
|
He is a morose character and your description makes sense. This may be giving a premature hint but his flesh is actually seared with burns which is intricately related to his character and his theme. His name, if you knew it, would etymologically give that info away.
|
Hey :P

Sorry there. This character comes from a game that is a hybrid third person action/strategy/rpg.
|
Thank you for getting it, I was beginning to get demoralized... though you forgot to name the character from Shadowrun, which I thought was the point of the game. Not that I want to drag it out any further.
And yes there was only one release of Shadowrun on the SNES, that's why I spoke of 4 versions on 5 systems (SNES, Genesis/Mega Drive, Sega CD, Xbox 360 and PC), with the Xbox 360 and PC being the same version. Here's a nice page with plenty of info on the various releases for any that are interested. |
We are trying to name the character, not the game.
Just a friendly reminder. Anyways, I'm gonna make a random guess as to this characters name... "Pyros Taener!" Don't ask... |
Nope, but you get creativity points for using a name that etymologically describes the character.
Here's a hint: this game is only for PC and was released in 2000. |
I know that this guy is in 'sacrifice' from shiny entertainment. But I'm not sure about his name. Could it be 'Charnel'?

Oh, of course. I was just stating that since we forgot to give the character name of the previous one.
|
el_galo got it right!
Well done, that means that you are up. |
Ah. "Char," as in "charred."

I got it right?! how exciting! :P
ok, my entry is this pink fella: |
I think that's Chewy from Chewy: Esc from F5.
|
very good, gonchi. thought it would take a bit longer until someone figures it out though...
so, it's your turn then! |
Ok, here's the new character. Hopefully this one will be easier than the last one I submitted.
http://www.geocities.com/afsguardian/Boo.jpg Genre: RPG |
Oh boy, if this is from one of the Elder Scrolls, then count me out on this one. There are hundreds of characters in those games.
|
It isn't any of the TES games, but in a certain way, you're fairly close to what game it is (or at least, what series it belongs to).
|
Is it from Fallout?
I haven't played the games enough to name the character if it is :P |
Yes it is. As for the character's name, here's a hint; unlike some other Fallout NPCs, he can speak with a English accent.
Now benhubbard, go play Fallout. And don't stop until you finish both 1 and 2. Tactics isn't compulsory, but you get extra marks if you play it. |
I'm getting the feeling that you want to prevent this thread from going on... ;)

|
Very addictive game, but I don't remember that character's name.
|
Puzzle Quest. Drong, I think.
