Resident evil question

Quick question.

In which order do you recommend one plays the Resident Evil games? Should I start with number 0?

hmmm...I think it goes:

Resident Evil Zero
Resident Evil
Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil 3: Nemesis
Resident Evil: Code Veronica
Resident Evil 4

Survivor and Gaiden don't really fit into the whole story, so dont bother :).

anyways .. im not totally sure about this.

That's what I would say. But Code Veronica stars Claire Redfield from RE2 and Chris Redfield from RE1. So... Code Veronica could come right after RE2 because it has no story tie-ins to RE3 but does seem like a side story from after RE2. So I guess either before or after RE3 could work.

Don't bother with Dead Aim, RE Outbreak 1 or 2 either. Nothing related there except the story ofthe virus spreading.

Code Veronica takes place a few months after 2 and 3 which are suppossed to happen at roughly the same time.

I would play them as 0,1,2,3,4 order and if you have a Wii you could play them all on it.

They were all released on the Gamecube and the enhanced version of 1 (includes extra plot/graphics etc over the PS version) is worth having as well as the Wii version of Resident Evil 4 being superb.

Ok, thanks. I've started with zero, but thought that maybe I'm giving away plot points from the other games since it's rather revealing so far. I'm at the part after the train now.
