That was a lot of fun.

Wish there were more missions.

There are the bonus maps. And the commentary if you're interested in the behind the scenes.

There's a movie coming out called Lars and the Real Girl and this is a YMNTD parody of that movie:

Lars and the Real Cube (link is at end of post)

I really need to play this game sometime (although it's surreal how much love it's getting).

Heh... You might like it, actually. Since you only have the one 'gun', everything's a puzzle since you can't attack anything directly. Plus, lots of problems have multiple solutions.

If you're up for it, some of the gameplay involves timed segments that you must get right and in sequence. There are portions where you need to aim properly on the fly to get from point A to point B. You can die, yes. However, the game autosaves so you may try, try again.

I just played the 1st mission, and I must say this game made me shout "yes" "ohh" & "wow". First time in a long time a game made me shout out loud how awsome it is!

I <3 Portal.

I started playing this this evening. If it wasn't for the fact that I have to be capable of working tomorrow, I suspect that I wouldn't be quitting.

Great fun.

Portal is awesome. Just imagine the portal gun in Half Life 2 episode 3. That would be awesome.

All I get is a blinking cursor. Am I supposed to type something there?

Hehhee yeah, it's supposed to be a computer interface from the Aperture Science labs.

If you type login and cjohnson and 3Tier or Tier3 or something like that as password, you get in.

I found lots of interesting info about this from the valve forums.

Cool thanks
I needed to type LOGIN to get to the username/password prompt and for the username I entered cjohnson and for the password I entered tier3. That worked.
Once logged in, you can type list to see all commands available, and there are 2 of them. Notes will list the back story of Portal, which is very interesting and funny. Apply will guide you through a never ending questionaire to apply to become a test rat for Aperture science. Very original and clever website

There's a code in that questionnaire - look for blinking letters in the questions and answers. If you note them all down, they spell "thecakeisalie" - try typing that in at the command prompt

Obviously, it was all a bit more mysterious before the game was actually released, but it's still kinda neat.
