Most anticipated game of 2007

Okay folks seems like 2004 all over again with new releases for Halo, Half Life, and Grand Theft Auto by year's end. This fall, we have one of the most cramped quarters of AAA titles in history probably, with each platform offering a slew of excellent (or not so excellent) titles. Here are just some of the titles that will be available between now and the new year:

Mass Effect (360)
Stranglehold(PC, 360, PS3)
The Darkness(PS3, 360)
HL2 orange box(PS3, 360, PC)
Halo 3(360)
Killzone 2(PS3)
Ratchet and clank 5 (PS3)
Blue Dragon (360)
Assasin's Creed ( PS3, 360, PC)
Lair (PS3)
Shadowrun (PC, 360)
Bioshock(360, PC)
Heavenly Sword (PS3)
Warhawk (PS3)
Final Fantasy XIII(PS3)
Grant Theft Auto 4 (PS3, 360)
Uncharted: Drakes Fortune (PS3)
Super Mario Galaxy (Wii)
Banjo-Kazooie (360)
Metroid Prime 3 (Wii)

What is YOUR most anticipated title for 2007?

Halo 3 (X360)
Sam and Max: Season 1 (PC)
Assasins Creed (X360)
Grand Theft Auto IV (X360)
Mass Effect (X360)
Blue Dragon (X360)

Needless to say, probably not even half these games will even come out in 2007, but I have hope.

I'm curious about Dark Sector, but I'm not grounding myself on it, I'll wait til the reviews come in.

Motherfucking Phantom Hourglass
Mothertrucking Pokemon (doesn't really count, since it's already out)
*Assassin's Creed
*BioShock
*Mass Effect
Half-Life 2 Episode 2?
Spore?

*won't be playing for a long time, no doubt

But since I'm not sure if I'll be able to afford the 360 by the end of the year, I'll probably have to settle for Half-Life 2 Episode Two.

By the way, according to the recent interview with Shane Kim, Banjo Kazooie 3 won't be out this year.

Alan Wake, if it comes out in 2007, but I'm pretty sure it won't.

Other games on the top of my very thin list:

Phantom Hourglass
Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations
Super Mario Galaxy (If I ever get a Nintendo Wii, that is...)

and also since we are Adventure Gamers, I have to say that A Vampyre story is looking hot, and hopefully it wil arrive on time for Christmas. :)

Dead Mountaineer's Hotel. Seriously.

Bioshock (PC)
Tomb Raider (PC)
Grand Theft Auto 4 (OMG hurry up already with the PC conversion ;) )
Gears of War (PC)

Probably Super Mario Galaxy. Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat is one of my favorite platformers, so I trust the studio. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption I'm also looking forward to, but with a little bit of hesitation. Metroid Prime 2: Echoes is one of my favorite games of any type, but it was dragged down by a tacked-on multiplayer mode which tried to imitate ordinary FPSs. So when I heard about the more direct control in MP3 and that they're wasting their efforts working on an online mode, I got worried.

Of course, playing either game would rely on my getting a Wii, and that's not looking particularly possible. [sigh]

My favorites as it stands today are:
PS3: Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, Heavenly Sword
360: Mass Effect, Too Human (if it comes out this year), Blue Dragon
Multi-platform: GTA 4, The Darkness, Assasins Creed, Bioshock, HL2

Hammerite 05-15-2007 10:13 AM

Silent Hill: 0rigins (PSP)
Assassin's Creed (PC)

two main ones at preshent.

RLacey 05-15-2007 10:34 AM

At the moment, pretty much exclusively Bioshock.

Kolzig 05-15-2007 11:18 AM

Duke Nukem Forever

CrimsonBlue 05-15-2007 11:26 AM

Lost Oddyssey is one of them, but I may look more forward to GTAIV and Pro Evolution Soccer 7 on the PS3.

True, I forgot about Wii games. I also probably will not be able to get a Wii anytime soon, so...oh well.

Overclocked (PC)
Bioshock (PC)

Rayvielle 05-17-2007 02:58 PM

Nights (Wii)
Metroid Prime 3 (Wii)
Mario Galaxy (Wii)
Bioshock

(And if Blizzard's announcement is what I think it is, then I'll be hoping for that in 2007. :P )
